Locals blame witchcraft after pupils fall ill at Delft school

Fourteen pupils have been rushed to clinics after having fallen ill at the Masonwabe Primary School in Delft, Cape Town.

They apparently fainted and parents claim some children experienced seizures. Panicked parents rushed to the school where emergency staff were attending to some pupils.

There were no answers for them as the principal had already gone home.

Locals in the area are claiming it’s not the first time an incident of this nature has taken place at the school.

They claim witchcraft may be at play. The Western Cape Education Department says it’s sent support staff to the school and is investigating the incident.
