Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is a disgrace

Jurgen Klopp is a disgrace. After watching his side throw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Shrewsbury, Klopp told the media that he would field a team “of kids” in the replay, and that even he himself would not be present for the match.

After revealing that he will snub Liverpool’s FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town, manager Jurgen Klopp has been labelled a disgrace in an astonishing attack.

Instead, the Reds’ U23 manager Neil Critchley will take charge of the encounter, as Klopp and his senior team honour the new Premier League winter break that was introduced for the current campaign.

That decision has divided opinion, however, and Accrington Stanley chairman Andy Holt launched a scathing attack against the German tactician and the Premier League as a whole.

“He (Klopp) is a disgrace,” Holt started, as reported by the Liverpool Echo. “I’ll never understand why top clubs and top Premier League players don’t stand up and stay united with clubs and players further down the pyramid.

“This is pure selfishness of the highest degree. I’d drag myself out of bed to play the replay because it’s the right thing to do. I wouldn’t give a (expletive) how tired I was. I’d do the right thing. I’d give a bit back instead of being a grasping, selfish type.

“We spoke about the FA and how top Premier League (clubs) would rather be playing exhibition matches in China building their profits and brands…

“…Jurgen, Liverpool you’re embarrassing yourself. You’re tarnishing your reputation. Rethink where you go from here. You’re killing the FA Cup. There’s calls to kill Carabao Cup. You’re killing us.”
