Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 7 June 2020, Zodwa Wabantu showed her followers what was on the menu for Sunday lunch. Holding a live chicken in her hands, Zodwa explained that she is suffering from an incredible hangover, and the only thing that would remotely help her was to eat a chicken.
She captioned the video with, “Mphimbo wam ndiyitholile. Inkuku let’s have a great Sunday lunch ayikho into Emnandi edlula lenkazana endiyibambileyo nge Sandla.”
Although a number of her fans were amused by her post, others were less impressed as they believe she was being insensitive to the chicken, and to all of her vegetarian and vegan fans.
Promise Chambe stated, “Shame on you. Eat your meat in the quiet, but don’t play with it on camera. Where’s your limit man.” Another follower stated, “Shame…what did the poor chicken do to you. Haibo Zodwa… I don’t know.”
