The second accused in the Limpopo pigsty murders case claims he was tortured by police after his arrest.
Mariah Makgatho and Kudzai Ndlovu were shot and killed and their remains, found in a pigsty on a farm in Sebayeng outside Mankweng.
Farm owner Zachariah Olivier, and two employees, Adriaan De Wet and William Musora, were arrested after being linked to the murders.
They made their third appearance in the dock on Tuesday.
De Wet, who’s been identified as the farm supervisor, now has a new lawyer, Muhammed Farouk Valjee.
And in court on Tuesday, Farouk Valjee told the court that during their consultations, his client claimed he was assaulted and tortured by the police shortly after his arrest and further that the officer responsible was in court.
Proceedings were then adjourned for a pointing out before they were resumed briefly and the case was postponed again.
The case was on the roll on Tuesday for a bail hearing but this has now been pushed back to early next month and moved to the Polokwane Regional Court.
