Duties (include but not limited to):

Check incoming laundry for stains and/or damage
Follow laundry care labels
Sort laundry by classification and colour
Wash: linen, towels, Tableware
Dry Cleaning: Send to Personal Cleaners
Pre-treat and rinse heavily soiled items
Operate washing machines, tumble dryers and roller irons/hand iron
Adhere to correct load levels
Remove lint build-up from dryers
Clean washing machine and dispensers
Maintain records of linen, washed and returned
Maintain cleanliness of laundry room and linen room
Keep the need for stain treatment to a minimum
Monitor and ensure adequate supplies of cleaning materials
Identify linen to be condemned
Ensure laundry machines are maintained and problems reported to management

Candidate minimum requirements:

Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent

Candidate Profile:
Must be able to Read and Write in English
Good Command of the English language
Reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfill obligations
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Show initiative by taking control of task
Excellent communication skills
Friendly and service orientated

Work experience:
Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5-star hotel
Familiar with all duties and procedures in Housekeeping and Laundry Department
