Ramaphosa: No plan to disband KZN PEC

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has laughed off speculation that KwaZulu-Natal’s Provincial Executive will be disbanded.

The party’s National Working Committee is in the province this weekend as part of its renewal programme.

Some leaders have admitted there are challenges facing the party there.

The only metro in the province has been placed under Section 154, allowing for national intervention.

“There is no decision, there is no plan to disband the PEC, they are rumours,” Ramaphosa said.

“We’ll be doing this in all other provinces. We’re strengthening the ANC.

“Take it from me, we’re strengthening we’re not disbanding.”
