IFP believes it can help boost Kwazulu-Natal’s economy

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) said that it plans to stabilize the Kwazulu-Natal economy if it gets elected as a new government in the upcoming polls.

The official opposition in the province said that boosting the economy will see more people with jobs.

The party held an election rally on the KZN South Coast on Saturday to gain more voter support ahead of the elections.

For the IFP, a province like KZN with major ports of entry and tourist destinations, should have a booming economy.

The party blames the governing African National Congress (ANC) for the province’s ailing economy.

IFP Premier candidate Thami Ntuli said that the party is ready to turn things around.

“When we are afforded an opportunity we will resuscitate economic activities. We will make the environment for businesses to flourish.”

The provincial economy has been hit by the July 2021 unrest and 2022 floods as well as maladministration in some instances.
