The main purpose of this position is to increase sales.
Service and maintain relationships with Fleet clients. To make sound judgment calls on sales and constantly seek methods to enhance sales techniques. Ensure all service levels are maintained while building close working relationships with all support entities and clients.
Ensure that leads result in sales and meet the set target.

Responsibilities and duties

To achieve pre-arranged targets and deadlines set by Fleet Business Head
Building and maintaining new and existing customer relationships in order to develop and grow business in the industry
Monitoring market developments in order to identify and grow market share
Managing, achieving and exceeding sales targets
Developing and continually reviewing sales plans to support customer’s needs and actively taking market share from competitors
Evaluating and recommending improvements that would assist the business area management in meeting/exceeding current sales, profitability, and operational goals
Effectively negotiating price increases when required to do so
Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times
Provides information by collecting, analysing and summarizing fleet sales and trends.
Conducting demonstrations of products and services to prospective customers as well as educating customers on the product range through presentations
Prepare Proposals and Presentations
Achieve a minimum of 8 sales meetings per week including 3 New Client Sales meetings
Performed related duties as assigned by Fleet Business Head
Provide reporting (Forecast, Call Visits etc) on a weekly basis to the Fleet Business Head
Day-to-day Management of Key Accounts
Compilation of fleet sales reports and updating of database
Assists in the preparation of tender documents
Preparation and finalization of reports (adhoc , weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannually and annually)
Sales Report, Weekly Visit reports etc

Minimum Qualification

NQF level 5 or Similar
Preferred Qualification

Tertiary Sales – Sales Management /Business Management

Minimum Requirements

At least 5 – 10 years fleet sales experience
Code 8 Drivers License
Ability to travel
Able to attend after hour functions
Confident demeanour
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales target
Good planning and organisational skills
