Kaizer Chiefs star has died in a car accident

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the passing of the clubs Under-19 development player in a fatal car accident.

Amakhosi Under-19 midfielder James McFarlane succumbed to serious injuries following a horrific accident in Johannesburg on Friday.

The former Amajimbos young prospect had captain was once Chiefs under-17 captain and he was a regular feature in Molefi Ntseki’s junior national team.

Chiefs confirmed his passing in a statement released on Twitter on Friday afternoon.

“Gone too soon,” the club said.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing due to a car accident of our U19 Youth Development Academy player, James Mcfarlene.

We pass our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends. May his soul Rest In Eternal Peace.”
