Introduction:
Wood-Mizer Systems (Cape Town) is based in Westlake.
We are a growing division in a global corporation that designs and manufactures machinery for the timber industry both locally and internationally.
We’re looking for a young, energetic engineer to join our growing team.
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Megatronics) or equivalent
- Experience with 3D modelling programs, CREO and Solidworks experience will be beneficial.
- 1-2 years in Manufacturing and Engineering industry will be beneficial.
- Experience with electrical wiring and programming will be beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well in a team environment.
- Multitasking ability
- Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc)
- Reliable and trustworthy
Responsibilities:
- Producing accurate, complete, and concise technical documentation from 3D models in a timeous manner
- 3D design and modification of timber industry equipment
- Assist with the programming of equipment control systems and HMI’s (for those with relevant qualification/experience)
- Assist with cost estimations
- You might be required to travel to customer locations to assist with equipment installation/troubleshooting.
