A property asset management and development company is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team working in-office in Cape Town.
As the Junior Accountant, you will encompass monthly accounting and MDA property manager responsibilities, creditors and debtors functions, tenant assistance, lease agreement processing on MDA, and support with FICA and ITC checks for tenants.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Recording daily activities using MDA property manager.
- Complete responsibility for debtors: Monthly invoicing, utility charges, and miscellaneous recoveries.
- Managing all aspects of creditors: Gathering invoices, securing approvals, processing payments, and entering data for selected properties/entities.
- Helping tenants/debtors with inquiries and reconciliations regarding their accounts.
- Entering lease agreements into MDA and verifying the accuracy of captured information.
- Regular lease audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Accounting / BCom Accounting / BTech degree is essential.
- An honours degree is highly desirable.
- 1 – 3 years of total experience.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- Excellent focus on details and adept at multitasking.
- The ability to work under deadlines and urgency is necessary.
Salary and other benefits:
R20 000 – R25 000 / month CTC.
