Senior ANC officials are paying their respects at the home of the late Johannesburg mayor.
Jolidee Matongo passed away on Saturday night in a collision on the Golden Highway in Johannesburg.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash and a pedestrian have also died.
Matongo had been in the position for just over a month following the death of Geoff Makhubo.

Boity Thulo and Anton Jeftha first sparked rumours of romance in February this year. The notorious “Twitter Police” matched the pair’s posts at the same location, just days apart from each other.
