#ApologyAccepted: Jelly Babie apologizes to retail cashier after viral video

Controversial South African singer, and performer, Jelly Babie has made amends with a Big Save cashier after an altercation.

A video of the Bacardi star hurling insults at the cashier, demeaning her profession, went viral on social media.

In the video, Jelly Babie is heard saying: “You must respect me and I’ll respect you. You are nothing.”

“She is forward because we were not talking to her. Why would she concern herself about things she does not know about? You don’t have anything. Her job is to be a cashier, not to concern herself about who I talk to and what I talk to them about.”

She took to her timeline on Wednesday to share pictures of herself and the cashier, showing they have kissed and made up.

“This behaviour is unacceptable. We are committed to protecting the rights and well-being of our employees,

“We acknowledge the staff member’s rights and privacy have been violated and will be guiding her appropriately in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, as she was filmed without her consent.

“We call for accountability from the TikTok influencer involved and urge appropriate action to be taken in apologizing publicly to our employee and the company.”
