Janusz Walus to serve parole in SA

The Department of Home Affairs says Janusz Waluś must serve his parole period in South Africa. It has issued Waluś with an exemption for the duration of his parole period and cannot use any travel document or passport issued by Poland.

This after speculation that Waluś would serve his parole in the country of his birth. Waluś has been serving a prison term for the 1993 assassination of SACP leader Chris Hani.

Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi believes Waluś should serve his parole in South Africa, for the heinous crime he committed.
