Junior IT Support Technician
Duties and responsibilities of the job
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
Installing, Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
Setting up accounts for new users
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
Testing new technology
Possibly training more staff members
Be able to work independently and give a report on daily tasks
Assisting in organizing office equipment
Handling quotations to clients
Qualifications and requirements
Candidates must have some tertiary qualification in these areas:
An IT and networking qualification/certification (e.g. A+, N+, MCSE)
Driver’s license and own transport would be seen as an advantage
You will be expected to get to clients
Experience Required
You are expected to have relevant IT experience and be able to diagnose and repair PC problem
Experience with networking and diagnosing network faults
You should have experience dealing with customers
Minimum of 1-year experience required
