At 08H17 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Allendale Road between Kyalami Race Track and the N1.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light delivery vehicle and a light motor vehicle were involved in a collision allegedly due to an oil spill.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that an adult male from the car sustained moderate injuries and an adult male from the bakkie had sustained serious injuries.
The patient from the car was treated on the scene and once stabilised was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
Due to the seriousness of the bakkie drivers injuries, the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulance was called to airlift the patient to the hospital.
