MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant National Diploma or BTech degree
3-5 years HR Generalist experience
Knowledge of VIP (Sage) payroll and HR Premier (Sage)
Experience in a manufacturing environment an advantage
Knowledge of employee benefits and payroll administration
Duties:
Reviewing practices & policies to ensure statutory compliance
Participating in consultations with management/staff
Negotiating with Shop Stewards and Union
Report on costs of recruitment & negotiates agency rates
Recruitment, selection, placement and induction of permanent & temporary staff
Process offers of employment & formulate appointment letters/contracts
Co-ordinate recruitment activities including posting job openings, advertisements, processing applications and maintaining interview records
Interviewing candidates & conducting selection tests
Preparing reports and recommendations to management
Managing probation periods, employee temp contracts & resignations
Talent Management
Manage the performance appraisal process
Drive the succession planning
Conduct manpower planning processes
HR Administration
Manage & advise on employee relations and provide HR information to line management
Manage new employee on – boarding process
Manage terminations and exit interviews
Ensure proper maintenance of employee records
Provide advice and information to line management and staff on new legislation
Attending to Medical Aid and Provident Fund queries/arrangements
Reviewing job descriptions
Management of all types of leave
Administration of skills development reports, plans and grants
Compiling of Employment Equity reports and meetings
Training
Conducting of Skills Audits and organizing of training
Control of HR Training Budget
Compiling of MERSETA (WSP & ATR)
Monitoring of Mandatory Grant Tranches
