VACANCY: Front Office Receptionist

Reporting to:

Front-Office Manager

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Courteously greet all guests and ensuring an efficient check-in and check-out process.
Ensures that guests complete Registration Forms correctly & that the information completed is in accordance with the Reservation information systems requirements and that payments are guaranteed.
Ensure that all company policies, procedures, health and safety procedures & Front office SOPs are adhered to
Assists Front Office Manager in processing of the reception procedure using the appropriate systems and procedures as supplied
Record, process & file all information relating to in-house guests
Maintains the appearance of the Front Office Department with regards to tidiness and the safekeeping of all correspondence, dockets & registration details
Accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts
Ensure that Handover document is circulated to all relevant parties daily
Completes End of Shift procedures in accordance with the company policy and procedures
Maintain a smart, clean and tidy personal appearance at all times
Prepares in advance for the arrival of groups
Creating and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with other departments to ensure efficient service delivery
Provide accurate information about local attractions and services
Performs additional duties as & when requested

Minimum Requirements:

Have guest/ customer relations experience preferably within hospitality environment with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
Have a Matric certificate or Higher education certificate/ diploma, preferably in hospitality field (advantageous)
Knowledge of Opera system would be an advantage
Have a strong working knowledge of MS Office
Be attentive to detail
Have good interpersonal skills
Act in good faith & in the best interest of the Company at all times
Ability to work shifts, week-ends & public holidays
