Hijacking levels remain very high in SA

South Africa has been confronted by stubbornly high levels of crime for decades.

And violent crimes, including hijackings have continued unabated, with no signs that police are turning the tide.

The most recent high-profile case occurred two weeks ago, when Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs was killed in a hijacking at a petrol station in Florida.

Safety and Security expert Prof Jacob Mofokeng says your best defense, is to not fight back.
