ActionSA president, Herman Mashaba, said no country could flourish while it was in a state of chaos.
Mashaba said the party’s plan, if voted into government, included unlocking millions of new jobs, ending load shedding within two years, and getting the economy going.
He was speaking to hundreds of his supporters at the party’s first manifesto launch on Saturday at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.
Mashaba said that the country’s challenges were all in the open for everyone to see, adding that the government was out of touch with the experiences of the people on the ground.
“On 29 May the era of lies, broken promises and failed government will come to an end. We can usher in an era of action that will move South Africa forward.”
Meanwhile, former president of the Health Professions Council of SA, who recently joined the party, Dr Kgosi Letlape, said that corruption has collapsed the health sector.
“As a consequence, corruption, policy incoherence, and insufficient investment in critical infrastructure, has rendered the health sector incapacitated.”
ActionSA leaders want ethical leadership, consequence management, and professional public service to be the priority if elected.
