Gogo gives birth to her own grandchild

Conceiving a baby naturally is very important to some people around the world but for some, it’s not always possible.

According to the World Health Organisation, about 186 million people are infertile worldwide.

For this reason, a woman decided to give birth to her own granddaughter after doctors told her daughter that a pregnancy could possibly kill her.

Teacher Rosicleia de Abreu Carlsem (53) gave birth to baby Maria Clara in Florianópolis in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

The Sun reports that the decision to carry her daughter’s baby was taken after the 29-year-old was advised by doctors not to undergo pregnancy as it would be too risky due to health problems.

The publication reports that back in 2014, she suffered a pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, so doctors feared that a pregnancy could kill her due to potential blood clots.
