Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Drivers licence
Work experience:
Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star hotel
Familiar with all duties and procedures in the Maintenance Department
Third language is advantageous
MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER LICENCE
Other:
Reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfil obligations
Attention to detail
Willingness to lead, take charge and offer direction
Ability to multitask
Show initiative by taking control of task
Excellent communication skills
Friendly and service orientated
Tasks (include but not limited to):
Ensure facilities are in optimal condition
Maintain high standards of working area, hotel premises and equipment
Make optimal use of materials without wastage
Operate power tools and equipment
Care of the lawns, pool and flowerbeds
Provide assistance to guest complaints
Repair hotel furnishings and appliances
