Inquest opened into controversial businessman Glenn Agliotti’s death

Police have opened an inquest to determine the cause of death of controversial businessman Glenn Agliotti.

Known as The Fixer, Agliotti was found guilty of dealing drugs in 2007 and was handed a suspended sentence.

He was also linked to the murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble but was acquitted.

Agliotti’s relationship with Jackie Selebi made headlines when the then-Police Commissioner famously declared that Agliotti was his friend, “finish and klaar”.

Agliotti died in a Johannesburg hospital on Friday.
