Former Botswana President Ian Khama will appear in court in Gaborone on Thursday. He’s charged with illegally possessing five firearms.
Khama is facing trial with four others, including a former intelligence chief and a suspended police chief.
They face 38 charges of unlawfully possessing firearms, registering firearms under false pretences and receiving stolen property.
