We are looking for an intern to join our team in an opportunity to learn and obtain practical experience by contributing to the company’s financial administration. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and self-driven graduate wanting to pursue their career in finance.

Vacancy Requirements:

Bachelor of commerce degree in accounting or accounting science

Roles and Responsibilities:

Initiate approval for disbursements, check requests and or invoices, with proper and complete documentation attached;
Enter accounting transactions with adequate supporting documentation for cash disbursements and cash receipts
Prepare invoices
Generate expenditure reports and prepare reconciliations, as well as the monitoring of receivables, prepaid and payable accounts
Assist in monthly accruals and fiscal year-end closing adjustments as necessary.
Prepare weekly cash balances.
Petty cash management and maintain the record of all receipts, and prepare the reconciliation.
Assist in preparation for the audit and liaise with the auditors where necessary and assist with any queries that arise from audit.
Assist in preparing for VAT 201 return submissions and VAT audits
Assist in preparing and submission of Tax returns
Assist in opening new bank accounts, business online profile, updating signatories and making sure that we are in compliance with the regulatory law
Maintain, add and update user profile and increase limits as maybe required on the business online platform and any adhoc as relevant
Ensure invoices submitted for payment are VAT compliant
Load payments on business online
Request supplier statements, reconcile accounts and request credit refunds if required
Continually endeavours to improve identified gaps within area of work
Liaise with other divisions on all relevant Finance related queries
Prepare monthly general journals
Manage the debtors and creditors’ modules and all other related transactions.
Assist in any other matters as may be required.

Education:

3-year tertiary qualification in Finance, Bachelors Preferred
