Tragedy at wedding: Thugs caught on camera robbing groom of his expensive wristwatch

Philadelphia police in the United States have bust three suspects who allegedly robbed a groom of his watch.

According to Daily Mail, the perpetrators were caught on CCTV footage forcing a groom to turn over his Rolex after he stepped outside a wedding hall.

It’s reported that the incident occurred on 10 December while the groom stood outside with other members of his wedding party.

The three gun-wielding thugs reportedly jumped out of a car and demanded the newlywed hand over his pricey watch.

The suspects have reportedly been linked to another armed robbery where they got away with two more Rolexes worth more than $37 000 (about R550 000).

The video has now gone viral on TikTok and Twitter.

Philadelphia police commissioner Danielle Outlaw told the publication that the suspects were arrested on 16 December following another armed robbery.

“Having three people in custody that we know are at least linked to at least two very dangerous robberies, I think it brings a little bit of solace around the holiday season,” Outlaw said.
