Beplan, koördineer en implementeer institusionele kalendergeleenthede en spesiale funksies ter ondersteuning van die Geïntegreerde Kommunikasiestrategie en afdelingsdoelwitte,
wat op hul beurt belyn is met die US se Visie 2040 en die Strategiese Raamwerk 2019 – 2024;
Funksioneer as projekkoördineerder in samewerking met ander rolspelers vir alle fasette van institusionele geleenthede, van die regs- en voldoeningsaspekte, begrotings en
goedkeuring, uitnodigings, lokaalbesprekings, spyseniering, bestuur van diensverskaffers, vermaak, toesprake, bemarking, handelsmerktoepassings en publisiteit, tot en met die
evaluering en nabetragting;
Stel protokolle, riglyne, template en prosedures saam vir geleenthede op verskillende vlakke, bv. gradeplegtighede, verwelkoming van eerstejaarstudente, personeelbyeenkomste,
professorale intreeredes en spesiale geleenthede;
Implementeer toepaslike databasis, stelsels, prosesse en toerusting, en hou dit in stand;
Beplan en ontwikkel programme, agendas, agtergronddokumente, begrotings en dienste volgens die behoeftes van belanghebbers;
Verskaf raad en opleiding aan interne belanghebbers oor geleentheidsbeplanning en –koördinering, en protokolreëlings.

Planning, coordinating and implementing institutional calendar events and special functions aligned with the Integrated Communication Strategy and divisional objectives, which in turn
are aligned with the SU Vision 2040 and the Strategic Framework 2019 – 2024;
Functioning as project coordinator by liaising with other role players for all facets of institutional events from the legal and compliance aspects, budgeting and approvals, invitations,
venue bookings, catering, vendor management, entertainment, speeches, marketing, branding, and publicity, up to a post-event debriefing and evaluation;
Compiling protocols, guidelines, templates, and procedures for events on the various levels, e.g. graduation ceremonies, welcoming of first-year students, staff assemblies, inaugural
lectures and special events;
Implementing and maintaining the appropriate events-related database, systems, processes, and equipment;
Planning and developing programmes, agendas, briefing documents, budgets, and services according to stakeholder requirements;
Advising/training internal stakeholders on events planning and coordination, and protocol arrangements.

Toepaslike B-graad of toepaslike drie-jaar diploma met minstens drie jaar ervaring in ‘n soortgelyke pos. Kandidate met ‘‘n toepaslike eenjaar-diploma of sertifikaat-kwalifikasie kan
moontlik oorweeg word as die betrokke kandidaat meer as vyf jaar toepaslike ervaring het en oor buitengewone vaardighede beskik;
Uitstekende mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede en vaardigheid in Afrikaans en Engels;
Uitstekende beplannings-, organisering en koördineringsvaardighede;
Professionele voorkoms, energiek and passievol oor beroep, sterk sin vir dekorum en uitstekende interpersoonlike vaardighede;
Vermoë om gemaklik in ‘n meertalige en multikulturere omgewing te kan funksioneer;
Vermoë om ongereelde werksure te handhaaf en te kan reis (geldige rybewys);
Vermoë om gemaklik in ‘n hoëdruk-omgewing te kan funksioneer;
Kennis van protokolreëlings;
Rekenaarvaardigheid in die MS Office-suite.

Relevant Bachelor’s degree or relevant three-year diploma with at least three years’ experience in a similar position. Candidates with a one-year diploma or certificate qualification may
be considered where a candidate provides evidence of more than five years’ relevant experience and exceptional abilities;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in English and Afrikaans;
Excellent planning, organizing, and coordination skills;
Professional appearance, energetic and passionate about career, strong sense of decorum and excellent interpersonal skills;
Ability to function effectively in a multilingual and multicultural environment;
Ability to work irregular hours and travel (valid driver’s licence);
Ability to function well in a high-pressure environment;
Knowledge of protocol arrangements;
Computer literacy in the MS Office suite.

Kwalifikasie / ervaring in projekbestuur;
Kennis van openbare betrekkinge | reputasiebestuur | handelsmerkbelyning;
Ervaring van ‘n afdeling waar belanghebberverhoudings bestuur word;
Kennis/ervaring van ‘n kliëntediens-databasis en/of digitale RSVP-stelsel.

Qualification | experience in project management;
Knowledge of public relations | reputation management | brand alignment;
Experience in a stakeholder engagement environment;
