BRAND ACTIVATION OFFICER/EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR
Remuneration: Market related depending on experience and qualifications
Reports to: HOD and/or Marketing Manager
EE/AA: N/A – open to all genders and races
Contract Type: Contract based – may become permanent
This position requires a hands-on, pro active experienced events / road show / campaign activation officer, basically an experienced all rounder who is responsible and able to plan ahead.
Experience in training promotions and sales staff, brand ambassadors and provide direction and leadership at all times.
Must be able to plan event participation and activation and carry out successful daily brand activation in various locations.
Must be able to book and develop events – (formulate an A – Z event plan – includes obtaining quotes, arrange timeous delivery of items) etc.
Booking of event/campaign, briefing of staff, managing set ups onsite, manage cancellations, compiling feedback presentations, interview and recruit of brand ambassadors
Desired Experience & Qualification
Excellent first-hand knowledge of the social scene in Johannesburg and surrounding
At least 5 – 10 years experience in road shows, campaign activations, events, indoor and outdoor events, mall activations.
Event Management experience
Experience in the hospitality / marketing industry
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Strategically driven, accountable and responsible with great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Active and connected on social media
Passionate, hardworking and self-motivated
Qualification in this field – advantage
