Eskom is planning to challenge the national regulator in court over a tariff increase, it says is not enough.
The power utility was granted a price increase of 9.4-percent in April, which is 17-percent less than what it had requested.
Government has committed to financially assist the debt-ridden utility.
The bailout for Eskom this financial year is R49-billion, increasing to R56-billion the next year.
