Eskom has announced that Stage 2 blackouts will return from Monday until Wednesday. The blackouts will take place between 4pm and midnight. The power utility suspended blackouts for the first time in 32 days on Saturday.
However, Eskom says it needs to replenish emergency generation reserves and blackouts are the only way to do this.
The utility says it will try and limit the blackouts during the evening peaks only.
