WATCH: Emtee drops documentary on his musical journey

Rapper Emtee has taken people through his journey in the music industry.

He released a documentary on YouTube talking about how he got into the industry and how the journey has been.

He also gave a shout-out to TV presenter and rapper Maraza for giving him a chance.

The rapper spoke about life growing up. He said he grew up in Joburg and he knows the city in and out, and that’s where he met Maraza.

“I met Maraza. He was the first established artist I bumped into and made sure that the moment counted. I gave him my music. I bumped into him in Yeoville and he said let’s go to my house now and listen to some beats and see if we can do something,” he said.

“Months went on, we started making a lot of music together. Then years went by, he was like a mentor, every show was with him and we formed a group and called it Forefront,” said Emtee.

He then spoke about his former record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, whom he was at war with for years.

He accused the label of stealing his awards and taking his cars. Emtee lost his cars in 2019 after he thought that they belonged to him. It turned out that they belonged to Ambitiouz.

He went back to January 2019 where was involved in a car accident. Emtee said that was when realised that the cars that he drove weren’t his.

“They didn’t care if I was damaged. They were worried about the car and if it was written off and I’m asking myself, why are people so worried about this vehicle and my answer came about when I found out it’s not mine,” he said.

In the documentary, Emtee also gave a shout out to his fans and said that his real fans stayed and supported him through his issues with Ambitiouz and others left.

Emtee has now started his own label called Logan Records and he is signed under it.
