Requirements:
N2 or NQF level 3 qualification essential with the successful completion of an electrical trade test. A recognized wireman’s licence essential. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of equipment and machinery. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to perform under pressure in a hospital/clinical environment.Willingness to work shifts and be on standby according to the requirements of the specific unit and provide technical support to the hospital at all times. The ability to interact well in a service environment.
Maintains a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the value of the customer. Must be able to work independently. Must be reliable and responsible. Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license (08) and must have own transport. Displays a team approach by participating actively. The ability to identify and demonstrate company values. Proven experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Key Outputs:
Maintenance of electrical reticulation and equipment. Maintenance of hot and cold water plant and systems. Maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Repair and maintenance of Nursecall system, telephones and data. Maintenance of medical equipment. General hospital maintenance.
