Trevor Noah recently caught some heat from the EFF’s deputy president, , after a skit of him making fun of Julius Malema aired. Shivambu took to social media to call Noah a “puppet of the establishment” – Many of Mzansi’s social media users were also not impressed with Noah’s latest presentation and issued concerns that the comedian was being too light-hearted about subjects like ‘white genocide’
(EFF) deputy president, Floyd Shivambu, bashed internationally-adored South African comedian, Trevor Noah, online recently, after Noah made EFF leader, Julius Malema, the focus of a comedic roasting. The skit in question came from American TV programme, The Daily Show, which Noah presents. In this particular episode, Noah takes aim at EFF leader, Julius Malema, comparing him to controversial US president, Donald Trump.
The comedian made reference to inflammatory moments from Malema’s political career, including a moment from an interview when Malema mentioned the possibility of killing white people. “Julius Malema talks about Genocide like he’s remodelling his kitchen,” Noah joked. Malema’s right-hand man, Shivambu, did not take kindly to the jokes aimed at the EFF leader.
Shivambu accused Noah of being a black puppet for white Americans, as well as a “clown”.
Americans are historically known for puppeteering black people, and this one has fallen right into their doings. He’s a clown, and doesn’t deserve to be dignified. Genocide in SA? He must be called Trevor Missing, the puppet of the establishment! https://t.co/980oyqVFat

While many social media users were laughing out loud at Noah’s jokes, t many reflected Shivambu’s sentiments. A great deal of Mzansi was angry that Noah would perpetuate the dangerous idea of a ‘white genocide’ in South Africa.
Perpetuating the notion that there is a white genocide in South Africa is not a joke. This is not about Trevor being a comedian but the agenda he is spreading is exactly that of AFRIFORUM.
