Introduction:
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Driver EB to be placed in Karee 4 Grout plant, near Markina, North West. The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor Grout plant. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Safely transport passengers and goods to and from various locations
- Report vehicle abuse, defects timeously
- Complete log books and checklists accurately
- Adhere to correct load distribution
- Vehicles are clean and maintained to standard
- Delivery and collection of goods and documents
- The successful candidate must be prepared to work outside the normal working hours
- Comply with M&RC’s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values
Minimum requirements:
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade12 or equivalent
- In possession of a valid code 10 drivers licence
- Valid PDP (public drivers permit)
- Dover Test 64% (preferred)
- Good communication and organizing skills
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- At least 2 years relevant working experience as an EB driver
- Relevant experience as a driver in delivery and collection
- Understanding of correct load distribution on vehicle
Office admin experience:
