Job brief
We are looking for an experienced code 14 with PDP Truck Driver with Moffet experience to serve our supply chain logistics department delivering short and long distance, in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Transport orders and raw materials over land to and from customers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Document and log work periods and kilometers spent driving.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Check orders before loading
Load own truck on the yard and offload at the customer premises
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
To live on the company premises from time to time on standby.
Requirements – The following is NON-NEGOTIABLE
Proven track record of more than 5 years of Truck Driving
Valid Code 14 EC Driver’s License
Valid GP PrDP
Zero Restrictions
Horse & trailer experience
Flat deck experience
Coupling and uncoupling experience
Long-distance & short distance traveling
Must be able to reverse
Left side docking and parallel reverse
Must be able to change your own wheel
Moffet license – Counterbalance – up to 3000 kg
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
RSA citizens only
Live in or around West Rand, Gauteng.
A DRIVING TEST/ASSESSMENT will be performed to ensure you can perform to the above requirements.
