Minimum Requirements:

Related Tertiary Qualification
5-10 years’ experience in engineering field / projects drawing office
Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic designs preferable
Proficiency in Autocad / Inventor essential

Job Specification

CYLINDER DESIGN:

Liaise with sales / projects / customer on all specifications required to do the design on the cylinder(s)
Design the cylinder and produce an outline customer drawing for approval by the customer
Assist customers with any technical information required on cylinders
Check, verify and approve all manufacturing drawings prior to manufacturing

DRAWINGS:

Produce hand sketches from sample cylinders / components
Produce detailed assembly and manufacturing drawings from hand sketches
Produce detailed assembly and manufacturing drawings for newly designed hydraulic and special pneumatic cylinders
Produce detailed assembly manufacturing drawings on reserved engineered cylinders / components
Compile detailed parts lists on all assembly drawings made

PLANNING:

Compile fully detailed planning sheets (including special QA requirements)
Liaise with QA should full QCP’s be required.
Liaise with suppliers on all special requirements for example treatments, chroming, deep bore drilling etc.
Load jobs on Order System (material and labour)
Compile work packs and issue to the workshop and QA departments
