We run an extra mural Speech and Drama at numerous schools in Gauteng. We use Drama to teach practical life skills in public speaking, communication, team building and to develop the self confidence of our students. Our goal is to empower children and equip them with real tools which they can use in other areas of their lives. We believe that Speech and Drama can have a very positive impact on any child who is exposed to it. It can literally change a child’s life.
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and reliable person who is passionate about Drama and children, to assist our manager and director in running the school.
Info about the position :
The assistant manager has a vital part in running our school. They must be a support and aid to the manager in all areas of managing the school.
The position requires that the assistant can teach Drama if needed, assist,train,manage and review our teachers, deal with parents in terms of enrolment, marketing and problem solving and do admin related work.
The position is full time (Monday-Thursday 9am -5pm and Fridays 9am-3pm.)
The assistant manager will receive paid leave during the school holidays, 4 times a year, as we do take time off during the school holidays.
The starting salary is R10 000 a month and increases to follow based on performance.
There will be a 3 month trial.
Required Skills
Speech and Drama teaching : 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must
Have a solid background in Speech and Drama on a secondary or tertiary level.
Have experience teaching Speech and Drama to learners of school going age.
Have a strong work ethic and is assertive in their approach to work.
Have a positive and proactive attitude
Is able to work well with others
Have leadership qualities and problem solving skills.
Have a positive and proactive attitude.
Is ambitious
Have good organisational skills.
Have a love for children and Drama as a subject
Be over the age of 23
Be computer literate
Have their own vehicle and valid drivers licence
