Qualifications and Requirements:
Understanding of financial concepts and data
Previous exposure to mentoring and training of individuals is required to join an already established team to assist with the implementation of a large financial and procurement project.
Relevant Qualification
Financial reporting, cost accounting and procurement capabilities.
5 years relevant experience
Comfortable with working with diverse individuals and working within a team
Able to take initiative
Clear criminal, credit, qualification and reference checks
Should be reliable and punctual
Should be honest and trustworthy
4 years SAP Experience
Duties and Activities:
Acquire data from legacy data sources, analyse patterns in line with desired outcomes and assist with translation / transformation to new solution
Financial understanding a prerequisite for analysis of data as overall balancing and reconciliation is critical
Understand data available from product related legacy systems and how data fields can be combined to provide the required financial dimensions to support the SAP financial requirements
Work with mapping specialists to translate data from legacy financial system to new solution
Understanding of interfacing and file transfer mechanisms is important
Problem solving skills to troubleshoot misaligned information is required
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems and provide resulting feedback to mapping specialists for correction
Understanding of SAP financial data and tables advisable
Ability to utilise tools such as MS Access to simulate and manipulate large volumes of data
Design and participate in all levels of testing of the overall mapping effort to support the overall accuracy of the mapping and migration process
Work with other development teams and be able to provide technical specifications for all development requirements to support successful interfacing to SAP
Work with other technical teams to define file transfer requirements and assist with testing of technical file transfers
Key responsibility in the migration of financial data and the ongoing daily interfaces of financial data from 1 platform to another.
