Introduction
The role will encompass but is not limited to leading data-driven projects. In addition, the Data Modeller will be involved with other special projects including analytics, performance research and reporting, and will be expected to research, document and share best practices.

Collaborates with colleagues from different disciplines in a cross-functional team to deliver against iteration targets
Works in partnership with Business representatives (e.g. Product Owner, Product Manager) ensuring alignment and value to the customer.
Is able manage their work effectively as an individual and team member including the reprioritisation of backlogs and reacts flexibly to changing demands through:
Managing their work using available resources and methodologies ensuring full team engagement
Estimating the size and complexity of the work within the team and managing this appropriately
Determining the technical design in their area of concern, within the architectural guidelines
Driving team commitments to the work in every iteration or Program Increment
Is responsible for value and builds to continuously improve the quality of deliverables
Continuously finding ways to improve own and the teams delivery and value to the customer
Determining and validating the data required to support business specifications
Designing data models to meet these requirements
Data management and manipulation (including S-T maps)
Data migrations from legacy and third-party providers
Supporting the Enterprise’s Data Strategy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology
Data management experience and /or supported by Certifications in BABOK and DMBOK II
Experience:
Strong data analysis and data modelling skills
Individual should ideally come from a Banking background with knowledge of Banking Regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to support Client-facing interactions
Exposure to Power Designer and IBM Data Management Products
Knowledge of Data Warehousing
Exposure to the Teradata Data Model.
Expert in ERD & Dimensional Modelling.
Self-motivator, flexible, versatile, and creative; possesses problem solving skills and can quickly learn new skills and techniques independently.
Multi-task and manage competing priorities; proven work-ethic and time-management skills.
