The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
Plan and prioritize work in conjunction with team leaders and other stakeholders.
Conduct ongoing research into legislative and best practice cybersecurity requirements.
Review risk and threat information in order to identify applicable control areas to be incorporated into the security compliance universe.
Define and conduct measurement of applicable cybersecurity control areas to compile a Company Group compliance status.
Engage with stakeholders across the Company Group, at different levels of seniority, displaying the ability to solicit information as well as convey and explain information fluently.
Work with the cybersecurity threat analyst to ensure corrective actions are taken where controls are inadequate, to improve the compliance status of the Company Group.
Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert for the second and third line of defense corporate governance functions on cybersecurity.
Provide periodic reporting on the status of the cybersecurity compliance universe of the Company Group.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
a Bachelorâ??s degree (NQF 7) in Security, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification;
five to seven yearsâ?? experience in information security or cybersecurity governance environment; and
solid knowledge of risk management and compliance, leading cybersecurity best practices, relevant legislation, information technology trends, and the compliance universe.
Additional requirements include:
relevant security certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be an added advantage;

developing and managing relationships.
