Construction Worker falls from 6th floor

Gauteng: At 08H14 Thursday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a fall at a construction site off Lynwood Road in Lynwood, Pretoria.

Reports indicate that a construction worker had allegedly climbed through the six-floor window when he slipped off the scaffolding, falling to the ground below.

It is not clear if the worker was wearing a harness or if it was attached to an approved anchor point, as some gear was not present on the arrival of medics.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man in critical condition with severe head trauma and fractures throughout his body.

The patient, believed to be in his early thirties, was treated on the scene by emergency care practitioners.
