Construction Manager required for a New open cast Coal Mine in Botswana.
Will be responsible for all on-site construction management of contractors
18-24 month contract
Required Skills
mining
EPCM
construction management experience : 10 years or more
project construction management : 10 years or more
coal mine experience
Candidate Requirements
Experience and qualifications
A Diploma or Degree in Construction or Engineering
Must have at least 10 years project construction management experience within a Mining environment
Must have worked for an EPCM
Experience in the mining industry delivering construction projects
Self-motivated and strong leadership skills
Ability to work within the Owners team
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform on site management and co-ordination of all Contractors and site personnel
Execute field construction activities in conformance with project drawings, specifications and cost estimates
Control project schedule
Approve contractors method statements
Manage change management process
Implement Site Safety and develop safety culture
Manage FIDIC contractual commitments including cost , quality and schedule
Implement a Quality Management system
This position reports to: Project Manager
