Executive, Upmarket Accommodation in Umhlanga Rocks requires the services of a CONCIERGE / FRONT OF HOUSE EXECUTIVE. THIS POSITION WOULD REQUIRE SHIFT WORK

Job Objectives:CONCIERGE

To provide Front desk services to guests
Take on reservations by phone and walk-ins, apartment assignment allocation
Check in and check out the process.
Learn and manage reservation system – Semper
To upsell and provide guests and unit owners with unwind value-added services and products.
Handling requests and complaints
Assign housekeeping roster/duties
To provide and maintain the highest standard of customer service
To be the point of contact for non-rental owners service queries but to strictly redirect these to the correct personnel.

Key Areas of Accountability:

Welcome, register and assign apartments to guests.
Assist guests through check in, access process and familiarize guests with services we have to offer as per check in policy & procedure.
Answer and handle all incoming telephone calls efficiently and accurately according to standards.
Make and Confirm reservations according to standards.
Act as a key communication link. Responsible for clear and effective communication between co-workers, management and other departments.
Answer inquiries pertaining to Unwind services; registration of guest, shopping, dining, entertainment, travel directions.
Make restaurant, entertainment or activity reservations, and arrangements for other guest requests.
Bill / invoice booking reservations and Unwind services to guests
Collect payments from guests – no cash
Perform a daily check ensuring all in-house guest information is up to date and accurate.
Follow safety and security standards at all times.
Keep familiar with current rates, packages and promotions
Responsible for following and ensuring all documentation is received, accurate and on file as per set out policy and procedure.
Covid hygiene risk assessment policies strictly followed

Other essential job duties and responsibilities:

Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions
Stamp, sort, file and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and messages as necessary.
Maintain and ensure the front desk and lobby area are neat, organized and appealing and presentable to guests.
Complete daily filing tasks.
Transmit and receive telephone messages.
Complete daily tracking reports
Communicate with Arch Liaisons regarding daily promotions or updates.
Assist in training new / other employees
Provide assistance to other departments as requested or needed.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Door duties -Public relations
Facilitate deliveries for owners and guests

What we’re looking for:

Skills:

2 Years of experience in a similar position – tourism and hospitality industry experience added advantage
Excellent Written and verbal Communicator
Customer Service experience
Basic Typing Skills, Computer Experience preferred adaptability required
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, proportions & percentages
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Knowledge of local area

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: R8,000.00 – R8,500.00 per month
