Full Job Description
We are currently assisting our client in the recruitment in there Distribution Department for a Code 14 Driver, and we would like to encourage anyone that is qualified with experience to apply. Reporting to the Distribution Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following outputs
- Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are loaded correctly as well as check documentation against the load.
- Ensuring the correct products and quantities are delivered to our customers.
- Supervising truck assistants to ensure effective, speedy off-loading.
- Required to assist with off-loading to ensure timeous deliveries to satisfy our customers.
- Responsible for the crew, truck and its content.
- Ensuring that trucks are clean, neat and tidy at all times.
- To pursue a timeous quick turnaround time for each delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring that all POD’s (proof of deliveries) are signed upon delivery of product.
To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed and passed Grade 12
- A valid Code 14 driver’s license with PDP
- Be reliable (good timekeeping and attendance)
- Passionate about customer service
- Good English communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Able to work flexible hours
- A minimum of 5years driving experience (Logistics experience would be advantageous)
