VitaFoam is looking for an experienced Code 14 Driver to join the Company.
Purpose of the role:
A Code 14 Driver is responsible for loading and operating ultra-heavy duty vehicles and trailers in a safe & economic manner and in compliance with legal and operational requirements of VitaFoam.
Qualifications and Experience:
Matric or equivalent qualification.
Road Traffic legislation and Health & Safety legislation
National Driver License – EC/EC1
Valid PDP
3 Years articulated and/or rigid driving experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Willing to learn and apply knowledge.
Accuracy, reliability, trustworthy and integrity.
Attention to quality and able to carry out Instructions given Conduct pre-trip inspection of trucks and trailers.
Record and report all defects.
Interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness.
Trips are completed in accordance with laid down standards.
Supervise and assist with loading of trailers.
Check consignment note.
Handle emergencies.
Complete and submit trip sheets.
Complete and submit a tachograph.
Comply with the company code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge and must be able to comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
