3 suspected gangsters due in court after woman killed in Cloetesville shooting

Three suspected gangsters are due in court on Friday in connection with the death of a woman who was caught in the crossfire in Cloetesville.

The 49-year-old was shot dead in the Stellenbosch neighbourhood on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk said they suspect the shooting was gang-related.

“Kindly be advised that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 49-year-old female led to the arrest of three suspects in total.

“The deceased was shot and killed on 26 June at around 07:45 on the corners of Pine and North End streets.”
