Job Description:
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects
Review client proposals in terms of civil engineering and design
Provide technical input for basic and detail design
Manage and oversee all aspects of Civil Engineering deliverables.
Ensure the delivery of Civil Engineering quality work to other disciplines
Assist in planning and reviewing of technical work and maintaining project schedules and work plans
Translate civil design intention across disciplines during the design phase and managing interfaces
See to it that engineering innovation, optimization, and strategies are implemented and enforced to the advantage of our partners,
Develop performance enhancements and implement cost-effective designs and monitors project results
Design of steel structures
Design of concrete
Perform a Project Management role on some smaller projects
Preparation of Quotations
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications/Experience
BSc/BEng (Civil Engineering)
Minimum 5 years experience in Infrastructure Projects with a proven track record in concrete and steel design;
ECSA Pr. Eng. Registration
Experience in consulting. Geotech and Hydrology Disciplines is an added advantage
Knowledge Requirements
Brownfields project execution experience
Prokon
Microstation and AutoCad
MS Office Suite
Revit will be an added advantage
Conceptually strong
Team player
Knowledge of applicable design codes, standards and regulation
Strong customer and retail orientation – sound business acumen, commercial awareness, good judgement, emotional resilience, and able to make a convincing argument and influence customer’s decision making
