Chelsea keeps top 4 finish hopes alive as they beat Swansea 1 – 0

Former Arsenal midfielder Fabregas swept home from Eden Hazard’s through ball to leave Chelsea two points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with three games left.

Cesc Fabregas scored his 50th Premier League goal to push Chelsea closer to the top four and leave Swansea in deep relegation trouble.

At the other end of the table, the Swans are six games without a win and only a point clear of the bottom three.

They managed just two shots on target – but manager Carlos Carvalhal thought his side should have had a late penalty when Gary Cahill challenged Nathan Dyer.

The Swans have games remaining against Bournemouth, Southampton and Stoke – with those last two likely to hold the key to their fate.

The result means West Brom – winners at Newcastle earlier on Saturday – survive for another week at least.
