Eskom’s former procurement head challenges dismissal

In an exclusive interview with the publication, Eskom’s former Chief Procurement Officer, Solly Tshitangano, says he was unfairly dismissed.
Tshitangano says Eskom did not follow all the necessary processes during his disciplinary hearing.
He says he will be challenging his dismissal.
Eskom says it wants to recover R1 billion.
The power utility entered into an R8 billion deal with Econ Oil despite findings of corruption against the company.
It has since dismissed Tshitangano for his role in the deal. Tshitangano has been found guilty of gross misconduct and poor performance at the power utility.
