South Africa has recorded 7,740 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24-hour reporting cycle.
The NICD said 134 more people have died.
Infections in Kwa-Zulu Natal stand at 2,206 and 1,670 in the Western Cape.
A total of 45,534 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
